What is the protein base of your meats?

We craft our plant-based meats with a protein harvested from golden peas grown in the United States, Canada and France.

Are your foods non-GMO?

Yes! Every ingredient we use to craft our plant-based meats is procured from non-GMO sources, and all of our products are non-GMO Project verified.

What products are gluten-free?

All of our products are both gluten-free & wheat-free.

What is the shelf life of your products?

The refrigerated shelf life of our products is 45 days. And because we do not use any additives or synthetic chemicals (just real, wholesome food), we recommend that once you open, you enjoy within a week.

Are your products Kosher?

We are working on our Kosher Certification. This is a priority for us. So please stay connected for more news and updates on this matter.

Why is it called Abbot's Butcher?

Abbot’s Butcher is named after the street Abbot Kinney in Venice (Los Angeles), where I was living when I started this company. Abbot Kinney himself was a conservationist, who worked to protect California forests. The "butcher" part of the name comes from our mission of bringing craftsmanship and a high-quality, premium level to the plant-based meat category.
