Description

Who doesn’t love stuffing? Custardy bread with a crispy crust, fresh herbs, crunchy veggies and the savory bite of our plant-based Ground “Beef”. It’s no wonder this classic holiday dish is such a favorite!

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 300° F.

  2. Cut or tear your bread into 1 1/2- to 2-inch pieces and place onto a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for about 7 to 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and place into a very large mixing bowl.

  3. Meanwhile, in a large sauté pan, warm the olive oil over medium-high heat and add the garlic, onions and celery. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté until slightly tender, about 3 minutes. Then add the white wine and cook until reduced, about 3 minutes. Add mixture to the toasted bread.

  4. In the same pan, add the package of Abbot’s Butcher Ground “Beef” and sauté until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Add to the bread cubes and vegetables.

  5. Add the fresh herbs and red pepper flakes to the mixture. Then pour the vegetable broth and plant-based butter over the mixture, mixing thoroughly. Be sure that all liquid is absorbed and all ingredients are evenly distributed. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  6. Spread the stuffing into baking dish, cover with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 - 15 minutes until the top is browned. Enjoy!
